Hi! I live in London, UK, and I have self-published 17 books. I love reading, writing, films, the sea, art, animals (especially cats), nature, rock music and travelling.
I have been writing since I was little and English was my favourite subject at school, besides art. I especially loved books about animals. My all-time favourite book is Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox.
The first novel I completed was Kiwi in Cat City, which I published in 2011. Written for middle-grade, but also enjoyed by adults, it follows the adventures of a magical cat and her two human friends, Amy and James.
Inspired by the people I met in book groups online, I wrote five more books in the series: Kiwi and the Missing Magic; Kiwi and the Living Nightmare; Kiwi and the Serpent of the Isle; Kiwi in the Realm of Ra and Kiwi’s Christmas Tail.
The Kiwi books contain illustrations by Nikki McBroom.
Kiwi and the Serpent of the Isle was a finalist in the Children's Books section of the National Indie Excellence Book Awards 2013. I Dream of Zombies was a finalist in the Horror section of the same competition in 2014.
Kaleidoscope (March) - 119 poems; Travelling Light - a free book of poetry; Day of the Living Pizza - a comedy horror for ages 10 up; Day of the Pesky Shadow (book 2); Life's Rhythms - a collection of 316 haiku; 3 Heads and a Tail - a romantic comedy with a dog as the hero; The Sea Inside (Cerulean Songs, book 1) - an undersea time-travel adventure; I Dream of Zombies (book 1) - a horror; Haven (book 2); and Mind-spinning Rainbows - poetry.

I have also written a supernatural detective novel,
set in Victorian times with a steampunk edge,
and a picture book about the environment.

This collection of 446 poems was written between April 2020 and March 2021. In April 2020, I decided to try to write a poem a day on my blog, Vixie’s Stories, following prompts on NaPoWriMo.net. The following month I kept going.
